Aston Villa fans have jokingly called for Newcastle United to be kicked out of the Premier League as punishment for an “embarrassing” rave track produced by a member of the Toon Army.
Magpies fans have released several songs to mark Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester United, their first appearance at Wembley since 1999 and their first since the national stadium was rebuilt. One track in particular, by northeastern artist MC Tazo, has garnered a lot of attention and has even gone viral on social media.
The video is shot on location around St James’ Park and features catchy lines like “Geordie boys make some noise we’re going to Wembley so tell mum tell your mum you won’t be home for tea” and “Let’s win another trophy like we did in ’55 (the year Newcastle last won a national trophy).”

While it was obviously popular with Newcastle fans ahead of a big occasion, supporters of other clubs couldn’t resist making fun of the track, including Villa supporters. One fan, who shared a video of the track, tweeted: “Release them right away.”
Another argued: “Expulsion. Championship did nothing to deserve that :)”.
A third posted: “Let’s win another trophy like we did at 55 (smiley face emoji).” One said that he had prompted him to support the other United in the final, saying: “Sweet Jesus. In fact, now I want Man Utd to win a football match. I never thought that would happen.”
A Villa supporter stated: “In fact, I feel physically ill. There should be a warning before this.” Another said: “I think my ears started bleeding.” One simply added: “Shame on you.”
