Stan Collymore has urged Jude Bellingham to turn down the ‘most attractive option’ as the world’s biggest clubs chase the signing of the former Birmingham City youngster.

The England midfielder is one of the most in-demand players on the planet after his impressive World Cup performances. Bellingham has become a key man for Borussia Dortmund, starring in the Champions League and making more than 100 appearances for the German giants.

However, Dortmund may soon decide to cash in on Bellingham, whose current contract has just over two years left, in a bid to secure maximum value. Fees of up to €150m (around £132m) have been mentioned, and only a few clubs in the world own that kind of riches. Clubs Manchester, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid have been linked with Bellingham, who doesn’t turn 20 until June.

The blues reportedly have a five percent sale. So if Bellingham were to move for €150m, he would receive around €6.25m (£5.5m) on top of the £25m he pocketed after selling the youngster in 2020. .

Former Aston Villa and Liverpool striker Collymore has waded into the debate over Bellingham’s future. He believes Real Madrid is the most likely destination for him, but would love to see him at Liverpool as part of a ‘new era’ at Anfield.

“The most attractive option for Jude Bellingham in the summer is Real Madrid,” Collymore said in his column for Caughtoffside. “They still have the incredible habit of winning the Champions League – it’s their trophy and La Liga pretty much guarantees players a 50/50 chance of winning the league.
