A girl tragically died after being hit by a bus on a Birmingham street. The 15-year-old girl was struck by a car on Sheaf Lane, near Coventry Road, in Sheldon shortly before 3pm on Saturday (March 18).
Police confirmed that the teenager sustained serious injuries, and ambulance crews, including an air ambulance, are believed to have attended the incident. But sadly, the 15-year-old was confirmed dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
West Midlands Police now wish to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident. The force said the bus driver was assisting officers with their investigations as he seeks to “establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision.”

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We are requesting information after a teenage girl tragically died after being struck by a bus in Birmingham. The crash happened on Sheaf Lane, Sheldon, just before 3pm on Saturday (March 18).
“A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured and confirmed dead shortly after arriving at hospital. Our thoughts are with her family and her friends during this devastating time.”
