A major investigation is underway after three teenagers were shot in Handsworth. The men, all aged 19, were injured when shots were fired on Hamstead Road near the entrance to Handsworth Park shortly after 6pm on Friday (February 24).
Armed police flooded the scene and one victim was treated at the scene by paramedics. He was taken to the hospital.
Two other men then went to the hospital, separately, with gunshot wounds. None of his injuries are said to be life-threatening.

Police closed the road next to Handsworth Park at the junction of Church Hill Road with the Handsworth Wood roundabout.
They remain on the scene tonight. Traffic, including the number 16 bus, is being redirected.
A statement from the force said: “We are investigating after shots were fired in Hamstead Road, Lozells, just after 6pm today (Friday). Officers attended and paramedics treated a 19-year-old man before taking him to hospital.
“Two other men, both also 19, later attended hospital separately with gunshot wounds. Neither man is believed to be in a life-threatening condition.”
