Liam Rosenior has confirmed that youngster Harry Vaughan will be part of the Hull City squad at Bristol City this afternoon, after making a significant impression on the Tigers head coach.
Signed with Oldham Athletic last month after a successful trial, Vaughan has been a regular at the club’s training ground in Cottingham and has been involved in first-team preparations.
The 18-year-old started Tuesday’s 4-0 closed-doors friendly win over development team Manchester City at the Etihad Campus, and suitably impressed Rosenior with his flexibility.

Although it remains to be seen if Vaughan will be in the matchday squad at Ashton Gate, he was on the flight from Humberside Airport leaving East Yorkshire for Bristol on Friday afternoon, with Rosenior keen to give him the experience of being with the team during a championship game.
“I’ve tried to keep it under wraps,” Rosenior told Hull Live. “He trained on Monday and I wanted to see him in the game on Tuesday and he started. He played left back, he played false nine, he played midfielder and the best thing I have to say is that he will travel with us.
“He’ll be part of the team. I don’t know if he’ll make it to the bench, but he’ll be with me for a long period because I’m excited by what I’m seeing.”
“I don’t want to talk too much because I don’t want to put too much pressure on him, but what I do like is his background.
“Obviously he’s played games at National League level with Oldham, he’s been on loan at Radcliffe. What he has is great technical ability, but because of the experiences he’s had at the youth ranks, he’s got a real fire in him, a tenacity that I eat and he is another: Xavier (Simons) made his debut (against Preston), Callum Jones is in and around, I want to give the players a chance.
“If they’re good enough, they’re old enough.”
