Some Oxford fans made their feelings clear on boss Karl Robinson’s position

Two goals in six minutes midway through the first half set up Bristol Rovers for their first win in eight games and heaped more misery on the free-falling Oxford.

Scott Sinclair sent Simon Eastwood the wrong way from the penalty spot on 22 minutes after Cameron Brannagan tripped over Lamare Bogarde.

Then, in the 28th minute, Aaron Collins headed in Sinclair’s cross from the right from near the near post.

Luca Hoole headed in a James Connolly corner on 75 minutes as Rovers cruised through the third to wrap up a comfortable league double over a woeful looking U’s.

Oxford have now collected just one point from the last 24 and large sections of home support called for manager Karl Robinson to leave.

The home team nearly took the lead in the first minute when a corner kick came off the head of a Rovers player and hit the post.

Kyle Joseph also converted Yanic Wildschut’s cross just wide and Oxford took another hit when striker Sam Baldock limped off injured after 20 minutes.
