With both TikTok and affordable jewelry being big things in 2023, international jewelry brand Astrid & Miyu is hitting the nail on the head. Founded in 2021 by Connie Nam, the brand is now UK-wide with 14 stores across the country, eight in London alone.
Not only is she building a presence on the British high street, but she’s also building a massive following on TikTok. In the two and a half years since the page was created, the company has had just under 50,000 followers and more than 750,000 likes on its videos.
And they are even more popular on Instagram with close to 500 thousand followers. In the run up to Christmas last year the chain opened a store here in Bristol which I headed to to see what it’s all about.

The new store is located at Quakers Friars in Cabot Circus and at first glance the store looks beautiful and elegant. The large windows are in keeping with the other stores around them and provide the perfect opportunity to attract customers.
Inside, the beauty continues, a bare brick wall borders one side of the store and gives a warm feeling, so it doesn’t look so clinical with all the white and glass. On the company’s TikTok page, the two social media editors give viewers a tour of the impressive store.

One of the most unique things the brand is known for is its welded bracelets. This is basically the idea of soldering a thin chain around your wrist so that you have a permanent bracelet that cannot be removed. Many get these with friends or associates to symbolize the connection they share with each other.
The shop is really beautiful and has a cozy atmosphere, it’s light and airy and the jewelry pieces are stunning. I will definitely be back to see what catches my eye.
