Commentator Martin Tyler told Jamie Carragher to behave himself after the former Liverpool star’s joke about Manchester United and the referees during Fulham’s game with Wolves.

The Premier League match was supervised by referee Michael Oliver, with Sky Sports commentator Tyler signaling his support for Newcastle United during the match.

Tyler suggested that Oliver could be around when Newcastle take on Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final.

The commentator pointed out that Oliver cannot officiate the Magpies matches as he supports the club.

Co-commentator Carragher was quick to seize the comment to joke about the referees’ possible affection for Manchester United.

Tyler responded by telling the former Liverpool defender to “behave” after the comment.

The joyous exchange came during Fulham’s 1-1 draw with Wolves at Craven Cottage.

Wolves took a first half lead through Pablo Sarabia, and the hosts responded in the second half through Manor Solomon’s effort.

The match opened the weekend’s matches, which will headline the Carabao Cup final.

Manchester United and Newcastle meet at Wembley on Sunday to decide the first domestic title of the season.

David Coote will referee the final.
