Chaii Wali, which has two branches in Bradford, will open its first self-service site in Sheffield on Friday 3 March.
This follows the success of its sites on Leeds Road, which opened last year, and on Little Horton Lane, which welcomed its first customers in 2019.
He has achieved social media fame for his donuts, with people coming to Bradford shops from all over the country to try them. On their menu, Chaii Wali offers filled donuts, each with Oreos, flakes, mixed chips, chocolate chips, strawberries, and marshmallows with dips. Customers with a sweet tooth can also choose their own toppings for their donuts.
Chaii Wali sells a variety of sweets, including churros, ice cream, and sundaes. It also sells fries, burgers, donner kebabs and wings, even in peri peri sauce. The sites also offer a selection of drinks including tea, smoothies and mocktails.
The company is also looking to tap into Bradford’s lunchtime food market and will soon be selling paninis, toasties and baked potato dishes at its sites around the city.
Chaii Wali also serves a host of teas from around the world, including daily fresh Dhesi tea, which is popular in Karachi, Pakistan. English tea and lemon and ginger and green tea are also on the menu.
Naveed Aslam, owner of Chaii Wali, said: “It has just gotten ridiculous.
“We have a lot of demand. People come from all over the country, from London, Birmingham and Leicester. They will all come to Bradford to try it out. it’s crazy
“We have a huge following on Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok.
“We are expanding. We are franchising all over the country. We’ve had some inquiries from London. We have a store in Birmingham. Our drive-thru in Sheffield will open on March 3.
“We want to be more than just desserts. When people from the south come to us for dessert, they go elsewhere to find the rest of their food. We were the first tea and donut shop in the UK. We bring live tea and donuts across the country.
“We are quite well seen on TikTok, we are getting 100,000 views. When DJ Tom Zanetti came to our store at BD5, a TikTok video had 1.5 million views.”
Chaii Wali branches in Bradford are open Monday to Thursday from 3:00 pm to midnight and Friday to Sunday between 3:00 pm and 2:00 am
