KEVIN Webster went through a wringer last year after a ton of drama with his wife Abi.
But he is in for the shock of his life when bad news reaches him the next week on Coronation Street.
The mechanic played by Michael Le Vell has been enjoying quieter times in Weatherfield following his wife’s intense custody battle over baby Alfie.
However, in scenes premiering on ITV next week, Kevin is dealt another devastating blow, months after finally finding his footing.
Kevin learns that his father Bill, once a Corrie stalwart, has had a heart attack, but did he survive?
How will Kevin manage?
Bill Webster hasn’t been seen in Weatherfield since 2011 and only showed up to attend his granddaughter Sophie’s wedding to Sian Powers, which didn’t even take place.
A family man first and foremost, Bill decided it was time to take care of himself and moved to Germany after retiring from his job as a builder.
Although he didn’t visit his children Kevin and Debbie Webster much, Bill kept in touch.
This allowed Kevin to find out that Bill had had a heart attack in 2013.
At this point Kevin decided to leave Weatherfield for Germany with his son Jack to care for Bill before returning in March 2014 when his father made progress.
Unfortunately, Bill broke his leg a month later, forcing Kevin to rush back to Germany to care for him.
Kevin returned to Weatherfield soon after, hinting that everything was finally okay with Bill.
But as fans of the Manchester-based drama will remember, Bill Webster actor Peter Armitage passed away on November 30, 2018, at the age of 78.
Ironically, the soap opera star succumbed to a heart attack, four years after revealing that he had survived colon cancer.
Her former Corrie co-star Charlie Lawson aka Jim McDonald on the cobblestones broke the sad news online.
The Sheffield actor found success in the box with his television credits which include The Befrienders, Couples, Jack the Ripper and Hearts and Minds.
He was last seen on our screens five years before his death in an episode of the medical drama Doctors.
