Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore will give his reaction to today’s 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic.

Liam Palmer’s early goal was enough to seal the points and see the Owls go 20 league games unbeaten. They had to put up with sustained pressure in the second half, but it was another clean sheet.

This win, combined with Plymouth’s 5-2 defeat at Peterborough, means Moore’s men move three points up at the top, with one game less to boot.

Direct message on Reece James

We lost Marvin to suspension and then Reece had a sore ankle. We think another three or four days (recovery).

I just didn’t risk it today. We got him out very late and I didn’t want to add to that pain. Jaden came in and did well.

DM on club registration

We are very happy. It seems like a long time since we last lost! We’ve just done it one game at a time. We’ll keep going.

DM the fans

They were absolutely magnificent. I am pleased that we send back home happy.

DM on score more

I said at the break that we could have been three, maybe four goals up. It was about resetting ourselves and applying ourselves in the right way.

We had chances to expand as they were going to throw caution to the wind. If there was a downgrade today, it was that we could have been more ruthless in mindset.

DM about the result

I thought it was an excellent away performance. We started fast and the guys did very, very well.

We could have scored more, but the concentration was there today.
